In a previous post, we asked you who you want to see featured on video at Big Think. The response was overwhelming to say the least. From UAW President Bob King to Tesla Motor’s CEO Elon Musk to former vice presidential candidate Sarah Palin, many of the people that you suggested were already on our radar. However, we were thrilled to discover that a large number of the suggestions included Big Thinkers who we had not previously considered. One such person was computer security consultant, author, and former computer hacker Kevin Mitnick, who we’re happy to say will now be joining us at our studio on August 17th.

It would be fair to say that Mitnick will be one of our more controversial guests. Formerly the most wanted computer criminal in the United States, Mitnick is now a leading voice in discussions involving cyber-security, hacking and the future of privacy. After serving five years in prison for four counts of wire fraud, two counts of computer fraud and one count of illegally intercepting wire communications, he is now the owner of Mitnick Security Consulting. We encourage you to share your questions for Mr. Mitnick in the comment section below! Thank you Big Think user Brock S Lynch for suggesting Mr. Mitnick.
