Fahd al-Quso

Back in October news reports surfaced that Fahd al-Quso had been killed in Pakistan. I had my doubts then and said so here and here. Today, we have photographic evidence that he is still alive. Arafat Mudabish, the head of al-Tagheer.net and a Yemeni correspondent for al-Sharq al-Awsat met up with Quso in Shabwa and has the photos to prove it.

His report comes days after the US added al-Quso’s name to the “specially designated global terrorist” list. This is just the latest example of a Yemeni journalist getting to where the US can’t – remember al-Awlaqi’s interviews with al-Jazeera in January?
