Are teenagers easily distracted? Gary Stager weighs in:


I reject the assumption that adolescents are easily distracted. Given the right project, topic and environment, young people have a remarkable capacity for intensity.

I concur with Gary. It’s not that our students are more distractable than before. Now that they have other options (and know it), they’re just less willing to put up with the drivel that many of us are still offering. And, really, why should they?
