Salon.com explains the unintended moral messages we should have taken from the fate of Jack, Kate, Sawyer and the rest of the cast on last night’s series finale of Lost. “Character: Jack. Expected fate: Doomed to spend eternity guarding the mystical light energy at the center of the island (aka “The Source”) from smoke monsters, evil corporations, idealist hippie “initiatives,” etc. Real fate: Dead like a dog, next to a dog.”
