Microsoft founder and billionaire Bill Gates is finally living up to his computer-aficionado status and has joined Twitter – attracting 2008 followers per minute on his first day. He joined the Twitterati and his first message to the online world was “’Hello World’. Hard at work on my foundation letter – publishing on 1/25/” before instantly striking up a hashtag conversation with actress/singer Ashley Tisdale. As Gawker put it: “Bill Gates finally joined Twitter. The Microsoft founder might have struck up an instant rapport with hot young actress/singer Ashley Tisdale, but his opening line was right out of the programming geek playbook.”
