“Experts writing this year’s dietary guidelines say strong evidence indicates that moderate alcohol consumption results in a longer life and slower cognitive decline.” An addiction psychologist at the L.A. Times anticipates the new federal health guidelines which will include praise for the effects of moderate alcohol consumption on health: “In other words, people who have a couple of drinks daily live the longest!
