Every so often, I find a paper with a title that’s too good not to share. Here’s today’s edition:


Trapecar M, Vinkovic MK. Techniques for fingerprint recovery on vegetable and fruit surfaces used in Slovenia–a preliminary study. Sci Justice. 2008 Dec;48(4):192-5.

The upshot is that if you want to fingerprint fruit, your best bet is to dust with Swedish Soot. Silver Special powder and cyanoacrylate fuming don’t work as well.
