K-12 Science Competition Winners: COOL Pads
The three winners of the Toshiba/NSTA ExploraVision Program, the world’s largest K-12 science competition, showcased their project at the White House Science Fair hosted by President Barack Obama.
The winning project, “COOL Pads: Shoulder Pads that Keep Players Safe from Overheating” is a futuristic cooling system built into football shoulder pads that analyze changes in body temperature to keep players from getting overheated.
