The Ekso is a bionic exoskeleton designed by Ekso Bionics in order to help wheelchair users walk.

Essentially a wearable robot, the Ekso allows people who suffer from paralysis or a handicap in their lower extremities to support themselves using their upper body strength in order to gain more mobility. The Ekso is a prime example of technology that can be used to improve the lives of many handicapped people without the setbacks of a wheelchair.
