Vijay Vaitheeswaran is an award winning journalist and global correspondent for The Economist. He opened the publication’s first Latin America bureau in Mexico City. He is a member of the Council on Foreign Relations and an advisor on sustainability and innovation at the World Economic Forum. He covered environmental issues for The Economist from 1998-2006. Now he covers innovation and health issues.
