Tim Bayne
Dr. Tim Bayne is a professor of philosophy at Monash University (Melbourne, Australia). He previously held positions at Macquarie University (Sydney), University of Western Ontario, University of Manchester, and University of Oxford. A Senior Fellow in the Brain, Mind, and Consciousness program of the Canadian Institute of Advanced Research (CIFAR), he has published widely in philosophy and cognitive science, authoring The Unity of Consciousness (OUP, 2010), Thought: A Very Short Introduction (OUP, 2013), and Philosophy of Mind: An Introduction (Routledge, 2021).
Neuroscience is beginning to provide clues about the emergence of human consciousness.
