Howard Zinn
Historian
Howard Zinn was a historian, political scientist, social critic, activist and playwright, best known as author of the bestseller A People's History of the United States.
Zinn was active in the Civil Rights and anti-war movements in the United States. The author of some 20 books, Zinn taught at Spelman College and Boston University.
As an artist and editor, his wife Roslyn Zinn had an important role in editing all of Zinn's books and many of his articles. The couple had two children, Myla and Jeff, and five grandchildren.
The next President should pull the troops out of Iraq immediately, Zinn says.
