Beth Shapiro
Beth Shapiro is an evolutionary molecular biologist and a professor in the Department of Ecology & Evolutionary Biology at the University of California, Santa Cruz. Her work focuses on ancient DNA and evolutionary processes like speciation and extinction. In 2009, Shapiro was awarded a MacArthur Fellowship.
