A Collage of Love Made from Hate Speech

This collage, called “Love and Only Love” is made from recycled bits of hate speech.

The artist Derek Gores recycles magazines and other found materials to create collages, such as the one above, titled “Love and Only Love.” It is a portrait of the women in the artist’s life that he loves, such as his sister, his wife and his daughter. Here’s the catch: the materials Gores used include recycled bits of hate speech, “aspects of good and bad and real life,” as Gores puts it.
