Lily Alexander
Lily has been involved in several different dimensions of the art world which has allowed her to develop a unique understanding of, and respect for, the integral nature of the arts, academia, and the market. She grew up as a painter in a family of art collectors, artists, and academics; studied politics and Classical art at UCLA, and then studied the art history and the art market at Christie’s Education. After graduating from the Christies’ Masters program she became involved in doing research for the Hans Hofmann Catalogue Raisonné. Currently, she has been contributing to the contemporary art magazine Whitewall and assisting in the upcoming launch of the online contemporary art journal Whitewall Daily, as well as helping to edit a series of books on architecture and aesthetics, written by her father, Christopher Alexander, an architect and author of books such as A Pattern Language and The Timeless Way of Building.
