- Strombolian eruptions at Mt. Etna, Italy
- Plumes of steam and minor ash were reported from Popocatépetl, Mexico
- A small lahar was seen at Tungurahua, Ecuador
- Ash plumes and incandescent tephra explosions were spotted in Rabaul’s Tavurvur cone
