I'd like to respond to the question of fact. I would say that a fact is something that is observable, measurable and concrete. I am 6 feet 5 inches tall. That is a fact. I'm handsome. That's not fact, its opinion. May be a widely held opinion but if two different people would come to two seperate answers using the same tools, then it is not a fact. Objectivity would be a key component to determining fact from opinion. If you and I both view a piece of art, we could establish the facts (the size, weight, color, subject perhaps) and still hold differing opinions on the work.

You suggest that there is a link between fact and truth. I'm not sure about that. How do you define truth?
