Charlton McIlwain

Charlton McIlwain is an Associate Professor of Media, Culture & Communication at New York University. He is a researcher, author, teacher and speaker on issues related to race and media in social and political life. He is the author/coauthor of four books, including the forthcoming "Race Appeal," has published scholarly articles in a variety of academic journals and has written commentary for a number of print and online publications. He is a Co-Director of the Project on Race in Political Communication (RaceProject.org).

McIlwain is a Big Think Delphi Fellow.
