I agree with Mr. Joachim,

Because of open market competition, progress in saving the planet, dealing with environmental health issues, and the biggest one, pottable water, our government has to mandate laws and restrictions before businesses can change. G.M. Ford and Chrysler all had advanced environmental technology waiting to go to market. The people wanted to keep driving heavy petrol consuming vehicles. The oil industry spent billions to falsify global warming and elect government officials who would help them stay in power.

The insulation industry is still sitting on the sidelines waiting with great products. The construction engineers are about 20 years ahead of consumers. They can save cost and energy. In their case it is not just mandates put on industry but they also need mandates put on planning commissioners, environmental building commissioners. If these people in charge of allowing permits do not know the latest products, they will not allow them. The day of good ol boy selection of officers has to end. We need hard working officials staffed with the very best to move our effeicient products forward. We need a government mandate saying that these commissioners with their staff fully understand all new enviromental products and can make the decission to pass them for permits tomorrow. Mandates to hire the most qualified and screw the good ol boy system.  States will be states if you let them get by with it. Clean the garbage out of the houses and the whole community improves!
