Maybe not knowing is the beauty of it all.?

I’m just feeling my way along, too.

To a human, everything feels like nothing, except for yourself?

BC… this will bring out the utilitarian in me (hi RO)… so I’ll say…
there is enough information available to us in the form of knowledge to give meaning and substance to our existence.
the rest is wishful thinking… is that knowledge? not in my jungle book.

love to you and your primates.

You can fill a galactic black hole with what you don’t know."" But, you’re 99% sure there’s no God? You and Dawkins can suck a fart. You don’t know shit.

What made the first itsy bitsy tiny winey thing? Is it possible that it is impossible for there to ever be just nothing?

Default_normal

Bryan Cridlebaugh on November 21, 2008, 12:28 AM

I was just joking about the suck a fart thing and the other. I don’t want to confuse. I did think it was funny though.

Ha! you got me! ;)
and you are right about the black hole quote… but my prefered percentile descriptor would be 99.9 to infinity percent! which in my utilitarian universe will pass for 100% very nicely thank you nephew.
I’ll leave the ‘what made the first itsy bitsy…’ part of your question for HP.
Or you can refer back to Humes Razor (remember him) and read the creator rebuttal.

No first cause required Clyde.

“No first cause required” “Is it possible that it is impossible for there to ever be just nothing?” I see the similarity. I am a man of few words.

I’m just a guy. I like a roof over my head. I like good soup and getting along with people. Most of the time I’m simple. But deep down I have something that I know we all share. It’s something powerful.

Default_normal

Bryan Cridlebaugh on November 21, 2008, 1:01 AM

Scientifically powerful. I’m not even trying to go all meta on ya.

my knowledge of CSN is pretty good! and that 1969 album is one of my all time favs so thanks for the hippie blast pal.

You’re thinking of time as a river my friend, wanting to follow it to the source, but the quantum world doesn’t work like that, no matter how badly we want it to.

stop helplessly hoping… just enjoy the ride Clyde.

It’s not so much that I want it to as I really think it just is that way. I keep going to the everything seems unavoidable thought.

I hear ya pal… but these ears want to know why you think that’s the way it is? and gut feel (even from a lovable chimp) won’t cut it in an evidential way.
Who’s gut is trustworthy? who’s gut is false?

I think everything is and everything chose this life. I keep saying the same things?

I took a chance tonight at the risk of humility. I welcome all of your comments, with love. I absolutely love you all, everyone. That’s just how it is. Relationships are…. a lot of things. Can I love you even if I can’t trust you? Is there anything more important to you than reading this shit.. oops I mean love?

Bryan Cridlebaugh on November 21, 2008, 1:43 AM

I sent that before i read yours. Let me think.

Default_normal

Musycks on November 21, 2008, 1:48 AM

I think in a deep, meaningful and symbolic way all life is absolutely connected BC.
I just don’t see why it’s important to attach a first cause to it, where non is needed. Be grateful to the glorious indifferent universe that spawned us if you must, but love all as much as you can and treasure the specialness of your existence and of those close to you.
That should be enough for any collection of cells, from chimp to human.

thank you and goodnight nurse.

We can learn. I trust everyone. There are some people that i trust would stab me in the throat. I think there is a way for everyone to get along. I believe and love that possibility. and I think it’s 99.9% unavoidable.

Default_normal

Bryan Cridlebaugh on November 21, 2008, 2:02 AM

I’m not trying to attach a first cause. I think everything is always. I don’t think that there is any escaping the being (or another word close to “being”) of everything (oh boy?). I am talking about seeing the beauty of today. I don’t think we really disagree that much atheist uncle. I just get a little silly sometimes. Not that it’s silly all together.

I love you uncle Roberts. Thanks. Good night or good morning, which ever you read first.
