Of course history repeats itself, but that is because humanity is so consistent. No matter how far we have come or how far we go there are very few things that truly change. There always has been and always will be charismatic leaders , some good some bad, varying in ethnicity color and gender that will compete against each other and shape innumerable human lives in the process. War will exist as long as people do, tho the reasons for and techniques during will vary throughout history. Famine, Pestilence, and Natural Disasters will forever plauge humanity with their consistency. Countless civilizations have risen and fallen and will continue to do so, with our own being no different. Throughout history the present and the future, sometimes life is good and sometimes its not. Realizing that history repeats itself is the whole point of learning history. You learn history to recognize the signs of war famine and evil genius dictators,so thatmaybe you can try to circumvent them. Of course this does not always happen because after all history has a tendency to repeat itself.

Hey Lillith
First a ? Is Lillith your real name or a reference to the real first woman, before Eve I mean?
Second, How could you possibly believe that it is simply “human nature” Because of progression less people ever are in poverty than before. More bath tubs and hygiene is in place than ever before. And the empires that have came and gone were smaller with larger peasant classes. Overall, the news coverage is getting better and so we know more about the scary stuff, but as anarchist that this world is it is more hospitable and healthy than ever before.
Do you disagree?

Well history will always repeat itself. Every religion in the world has some kind of scene where history repeats itself. For example, the ancient Egyptian believed that the world will turn to nothingness. If your atheist then look at the Great Depression and now.
