The US and other countries have established the belief that possessing nuclear weapons make a country “Strong”, and “Secure”. So how is it blameworthy that other countries should want to do the same? Not that it is relevant, since Nukes are about the most useless weapons around, and they have a lot of competition for the title. Must I point out that the enemies who defeated the Great Powers recently , and who are defeating us now, have laughably obsolete weapons, and are not even professional soldiers.disigny

Allies are the greastest defense a country can have today, especially if your enemy is not a conventional military force. Typically governments do not take approriate action until something bad happens. They won’t completely ban nukes until they kill at least several million. That is their m.o. The United States sell more military weapons than anyone else in the world. Twenty percent of our tax dollars go directly to the share holders of defence contractors. It is nothing other than theft based on fear tactic. This is not much different than any facist government would do. There is a huge difference in paying taxes for a strong military and paying taxes to contractors making huge profits while they supply ignorant humans with weapons. The world will never know peace, until we get rid of that profit driven industry.
