Sen. Ted Kennedy is a senator for Massachusetts in the United States Senate. He has held this position for 43 years. He was elected in 1962 to finish the final two years of the Senate term of his brother, Senator John F. Kennedy, who was elected President in 1960. Born in 1932 in Boston, Kennedy was educated at Harvard University and the University of Virginia Law School. He lives in Hyannis Port, Massachusetts and has five children.
