Preventing Childhood Obesity is Not Fat-Shaming
In my latest post for TAPPED, I reply to fat activist Paul Campos who argues that Michelle Obama’s “Let’s Move!” program is the fat-hating equivalent of “ex-gay” ministries who purport to prevent or cure homosexuality. Trying to prevent childhood obesity at the population level by encouraging all children to eat right and exercise is not fat-shaming.
