Religion’s Boast to Atheists: We’re Better Philanthropists

Why do religious people tend to be regarded as philanthropists while secular humanists are regarded as cruelly indifferent?

Commenting on the efforts of relief workers in the aftermath of a Tornado that devastated Oklahoma, Joe Klein takes a shot at nonbelievers in Time. He writes:


“…funny how you don’t see organized groups of secular humanists giving out hot meals.”

Is this even true? Probably not
