This topic has perplexed me for a few days now; I wonder how other people feel about it. On one hand, the astronomical spending of several presidential candidates proves to promote knowledge and inspire citizens to get out there and vote- it inspires participation on what is perhaps a mostly apathetic nations. On the other hand though, the more a candidate seems to have or seems to spend, the more chance they have of getting into office- basically buying their seat in office. That kind of money is also indicative of alligiances made with donors and big corporations. To some, this could spark ideas of corruprions and hidden agendas etc. So where is the equlibrium and how is
this affection our kind of democracy?
