I hope you will enjoy this incredible simulation of CO2 emissions, births and deaths happening around the world.

The graphics are incredible.  Not only does David Bleja offer us a visual help to understanding our breathing world but he also has some great suggestions of what we can do.

Visit the Breathing Earth Simulator for a new way to learn about the environment.

Thanks Vicki, I have been to David"s footprint calculator. Mine was way below normal for Westerners. We don’t use garage door openers, dish washers, can openers. Anything that can be done in ten minutes or less with human power, we opt out of fossil fuel derived energy. Our attitude is as we get older, we need to physically do more for ourselves in order to stay limber and healthy. We purchased our new Civic the year before $4.00 petrol. It was kind of strange at first, driving two to three weeks per fill-up. ha! ha!

The healthcare issue has put our energy issue behind for another year. The cash for clunkers did not take many gas-hogs off the road but gave a minor economic boost spread throughout a lot of industries. It looks as if we avoided the disaster and can focus on our list of issues going forward. If Democrats hold on to Congress in 2010, we should see major energy mandates go out. Yeah!

I have not been on RR for a while. How is your book coming?

Hi Tim, You and your family get an A+ in Environment: 101!!!
We are doing well with a low footprint here in Crete automatically. We live on the edge of town but on a busline, plus we like to walk. We heat our water with solar, and cool our house with layered drapes, thick walls, etc.
We traded in the car we brought from the u.s.a. and found hundreds of car types to choose from that were both fuel efficient and roomy enough for a bunch of long legged kids who keep on growing.

I’ve been reading more than writing on RedRoom cause my new super duper Panda anti virus protects everything so closely I can’t access my blog entry button, so I’m spending some time dealing with that new problem.

I’ve decided my book really reads better as two books so I’m thinking a lot about transitions and maturation of my characters. Also I’m inventing a new spiritual growth based on info and tidbits from history and archeologists.

I’ve discovered hint fiction (fiction in 25 words or less) and entered a contest with my own hint fiction. And wrote a short story for a fiction contest for a woman’s magazine. I don’t think I’m slouching on my writing anyway! Now if you want to talk about housekeeping. . . . there you have a different story!
