Doug Schwartzentruber

Surgical Oncologist, Goshen Center for Cancer Care

Doug Schwartzentruber is a surgical oncologist and medical director of the Goshen Center for Cancer Care in Indiana. His work pioneering cancer vaccines earned him a spot on the Time 100 in 2010.  

Schwartzentruber attended medical school and completed a general surgery residency at the Indiana University School of Medicine, Indianapolis. He completed an Immunotherapy Fellowship in 1988 and a Surgical Oncology Fellowship in 1990 at the National Cancer Institute (NCI), and he served as Senior Investigator in the Surgery Branch of The National Cancer Institute for 13 years.
