Paul Krugman

Paul Krugman is an author, economist, and Princeton professor who is probably best known for his op-ed columns in the New York Times, Krugman received his BA from Yale University in 1974 and his PhD from the Massachusetts Institute of Technoglogy in 1977. He taught at Yale, M.I.T., and Stanford before joining the Princeton faculty in 2000. Krugman began writing a column for the Times in 1999. As a columnist, he is known for his harsh criticisms of the Bush Administration and his emphasis on rising economic inequality. Krugman's popular columns delight admirers and infuriate critics; his writing has spawned numerous fan pages as well as websites devoted exclusively to debunking his work. In addition to his work as a columnist, Krugman has been published in Foreign Affairs, Harvard Business Review, and Scientific American. Krugman is the author of over twenty books, including The Conscience of a Liberal, a progressive manifesto, and The Great Unraveling, a collection of his op-ed columns.
