Ok, so the Tibet movement has been around for some time now and now thanks to facebook donation challenge (in which it placed 2nd) has recently received a lot of funding. On March 10th the Tibetan exiles are returning to their county, this date is significant because it is the 49th anniversary of the Tibetan National Uprising in the capital city of Lhasa. On this day, tens of thousands of Tibetans rose up against China's illegal invasion and occupation of their country. This movement is dear to me because it represents a different course of action than the violence that has been cycling human history since the first human civilizations. The Tibetans have shown that they will never compromise the benevolence and peace in their souls no matter what their Chinese oppressors do and in this I see hope. It gives me faith in the human experience. Truly no matter what happens to the people of Tibet they will always be free. Free from hate, greed, anger, fear. Free from the negative frames of mind that anyone can so easily surrender their entire lives to. The philosophy as a movement has been to rise above, and in today's modern world they are the only nation that has made it their prerogative as a culture. So on March 10th I would ask that we take action along side our Tibetan brothers and sisters no just for the politics involved, not just for the individual liberties of the Tibetan people, but as a member of the collective human race and for the way we think about living and growing together in a positive direction on a global scale.
