Can an American Education really be the cause of exstinction of Americas Middle class because of World Globilization?

Does Americas Middle Class lack that far behind in Education (vs) World Education?

I don’t feel the economic problems, here in the US, caused by globalization (outsourcing, loss of manufacturing) are a direct result from any of our educational shortcomings. The majority of the jobs that have gone overseas are low skill jobs that have gone to labor markets with low pay, and little worker or environmental protections. This will remain the case until the standard of living (worker pay, worker and environmental protections) in these other countries rise to that of the US or our living standards sink to theirs. Personally, I’d rather see theirs go up, than ours go down.
