Question: Do you take from the teachings of other faiths?
Keller: I think it would be better to say I refer and cite to all kinds of references. Paul when he was preaching on Mars Hill, this is Acts 17, he’s preaching to the philosophers, he quoted Greek philosophers. He quoted Pagan philosophers when we he was talking to pagans that’s not the same as to say he incorporated pagan elements into his message. So I think I wouldn’t say I’m incorporating what other religions say as much as I’m citing them, referring to them, appreciating them in many cases contrasting Christianity with them for clarity sake, but, generally, not beating them up but not incorporating insights from other religions, not really.
