Melissa Chiu delicatley dances around this question. She answers it sufficiently, even if she doesn't hit it on the head. I think sometimes we are afraid to look forward and change as a people, to evolve so to speak. Its difficult to leave traditions and comfortablility behind. Then again, if we move to fast, we risk destroying or leaving behind things we need. Whether great music traditions, languages or endangered species.
