Is there anyone left who believes that life started in the Garden of Eden with Adam and Eve? ... and that they fell from grace when they ate from the Tree of knowledge? Keep in mind that if you do indeed believe in this, then you are in effect saying that the Earth is only around 6,000 years old and the fossil record going back millions of years is some kind of an illusion.
Also, remember that if our complete lineage can be traced back to two people, that would make us all sinners in the eyes of god for laying down with our brothers and sisters.
Please respond, I am interested in hearing your side of the story.

I have actually talked to a lot of people who think that evolution (like the moon landing) is just a hoax. That the fossil record is a hoax. That it was made up by atheists and devil worshippers who are trying to get them to go against God’s way.
Also, if our complete lineage can be traced back to two people, we are still not brothers and sisters. We are very very very distant cousins. And in the bible relatives married one another quite frequently.
Although on that same token, and maybe I should look into this, how were Adam and Eve’s kids not … you know, incestual?
Another thing that I found interesting is that the modern bible has removed a section where the first woman is not eve, but a woman named Lillith, who refused to be subserviant to Adam, and was thus cast out from the garden of eden.

I have challenged a few people to really critically look at their belief system – if it is true then there will be evidence and the idea of god is safe right? I find people will not criticise their own faith maybe for fear of causing doubt in their own minds. Maybe they are used to having a “friend” in god who they can always talk to and are unwilling to believe that they are solely responsible for their actions and that the universe was not created with them in mind. Maybe they are unwilling to take control of their own life, who knows, but the answer is always the same: “I believe it and there is nothing that will change my mind about something i know in my heart”. Truth is belief in god is a lot more comforting and therefore they attribute everything to him including the biblical creation. But what is more interesting to me is i want to know whether loss of belief in creation – and thus god – would make their lives better or just depress them or make them feel betrayed.

Admir,
From personal experience… I removed god from my life and lost nothing.
Smosco86… Heidifay would be one of the people buying tickets to the creation museum, that has kiddies playing with dinosaurs! Let’s hope she encounters a few different viewpoints in these pages that makes her realise athiests are not the work of the devil, and that life is magnificent without her sky-god.
