I find Dr. Sabeti's blending of music and genetics interesting. She expresses the artistic side of her life with the scientfic side in an easy-going simple way that I find most intriguing. I too have combined my interests in music (blues harp playing with a little keyboard) and politics (legislative analyst with the Florida Senate's Democratic Office) which I find both very compatible and a diversion from each other. While I work away on criminal jutice and education issues in my office, I listen to an alternative commercial-free student-run radio station (WVHS, Florida State University, Tallahassee). And frankly, I'm not sure which activity (music or politics) has the most influence upon who I am and what makes me happy. Very nice listening and watching Dr. Sabeti.
