Shawn Wilson commented on Do we need gay washrooms now? on November 12, 2008, 6:28 PM

thetidesofmarch ; you don't think it would be uncomfortable for you if you were 16 years old changing for gym class at school and having a shower, and your girlfriend is in the same class, and all your buds are looking at your girlfriend naked...or for that matter I can remember when I was about 12 years old changing at the aqua center with my dad and everything was fine cause were all men and have the same things ,,,I understand what you mean but would you feel comfortable with your 12 year old daugter being in the same changing room with all those naked men and would she feel comfortable...?? but Im sure she would feel normal if she was with her mom with other women ...and how would a 12 year old boy standing next to a gay 40 year old and knowing that he is gay make the 12 year old feel...when it comes to kids at school or just kids in general I think there has to be some kind of rules...don't you.??? I think the only way people seem to understand it is if they use there own kids as an example...

I didn't even read anyones comments sorry ...but just saying this we as humans have energy within our selves everyting does...I think everyone will agree with this...so...therefore energy can neither be created nor destroyed...simple..all energy just keeps changing form and going through its cycles just like everything else in the universe..

Shawn Wilson commented on What do you think will happen December 21st, 2012? on October 17, 2008, 6:22 PM

I agree with rezzer! this has nothing to do with religion it is a simple cycle no one knows what the effects will be or if earth will shift its axis or if there will be major solar flares from the sun or what.. but I think a simple global power outage for about 3 months will possible wake people up from there technology dependability, an realize what it really means to survive ...and get everybody back to an even playing field...

Shawn Wilson commented on What are you willing to do? The Personal and Global Impacts of Sustaing Comfort on October 17, 2008, 6:11 PM

Im willing to do anything really ! I agree with you ...we are all to tied up with our technology... we all have tv all have a computer, car, most of us have cell phones I don't I hate them but thats just me...hmmm what else washer dryer, lawn mower, microwave...all things that are the norm...my self I could live without them...no prob...except a way to work would be a prob..I live in the country so traveling would be a prob...but you giving up you phone because of the story you told...would not solve the prob..problems are only solved with action...usually by more than one person...me not throwing my tim hortons cup out the window anymore is not going to solve the polution prob...but building major recycling plants will..you giving up your phone won't do anything either but inventing a phone that does not need the part there getting for it form that country would..

Shawn Wilson commented on what is a world with no more fossil fuel? on October 17, 2008, 5:59 PM

the way it sould be? this is def..a topic I could go on for ever ...we def..don't need it anymore...we just don't know as a world how to change our economic structure to balance the change..changing to global green energy is not an easy task at all...wind power takes up room that we don't have and so does solar..they would have to be set up on the ocean and use the ocean for power too...we def. have the tech. to produce all of our power without fossil fuel...but with out getting into it that means alot of refitting, powergrids and jobs and unemployment rates and taxes and etc.. etc...it can't happen over night...im building a wind power system for my home now...that will power my house heat included..(off grid) but not everybody can do this I live in the country so I have the room but city people don't... fuel is def..used for everything so that means building everything different cars.. processing plants...homes...boats planes..trains...spaceshuttles everything will have to be rebuilt...this all takes time and money...and I really don't think people realize how long it will take to do all of this...I really don't think we have the time to do it before we reach a critical point...with the cost of fuel..all in all I wish I could live to be 200 years old I might see what it would be like to be fuelless..
