Hope springs eternal… yes we can all hope that sanity prevails… but given our past track record as a species… any one givin' odds? What was that song by Tears for Fears??? One attribute to the Chinese/ Japanese cultural traditions that I think we would do well top incorporate is that of the "long view." Western – i.e., US, corporate mentalities are way too bent on satisfying the "Borad of Directors'" short-view, "bottom line," maximized profit margins (at ANY societal cost). We have institutionalized insanity… I believe we should all ask for a re-publication of Jules Henry's book, Culture Against Man… he spelled out our predilections for cultural entrenchments long ago… did we listen then? Are we listening now?
