Unless Clinton can make a good case for a legitimate nomination based on popular vote or some other metric, the superdelegates will have to pick Obama. The democratic party can't risk a Clinton nomination that is less than pure going into the general election. As such, I can see Clinton trying to make some sort of side-deal with Obama to accept a vice-presidency. As long as he declines, it will force the hand of the superdelegates to choose him. And he will most likely pick Richardson or a former general as his running mate.
