The only issue with nuclear energy is the length of time this alternative will be viable. We have used oil for about two centuries, I am afraid nuclear power will not last much more than that if we use it on as large of a scale as we do with oil. So the problem persists, we need an energy source that can stick for a loong, long time.

Nuclear energy is the only large scale solution for the foreseeable future. And when nuclear fusion becomes a reality, all problems are solved..and it is science not fiction..

manpollo – that's a great, and frequently ignored, point. The resources required to allow large-scale nuclear energy will be depleated just as those for fossil fuels have been. I like his last statement, that there is no free lunch. Instead of looking for the magic bullet which will solve all the worlds energy problems, we should be concentrating on the best sollution on a local level. Every country/state/city/town is different. There are different needs and different resources. The best solution for one area may not be the best for another. This is an international problem which needs multiple varied solutions on the local level.

I have not read your book nor have I investigated alternative energies thoroughly so I would like to ask: How viable is hydrogen energy as an energy source for the future? (I’m speaking, specifically of the electricity produced by the combining of hydrogen and oxygen to form water.) A more precise question concerning this way of producing electricity is: How much electricity is produce per given amount hydrogen in this manner?

Neither nuclear, nor wind, nor solar technologies are going to solve the energy issue, but there are several alternatives to solving the energy issue that are both unlimited in resource and produce zero pollution (e.g., zero point, electrogravitics, cold fusion, etc.) They are the ultimate “green” energy technologies.

The problem is two fold: 1) investors don’t want to put money into anything they can’t put a meter on (i.e., can’t dominate and make a killing off of), and 2) anytime a scientist or engineer gets close to bringing one of these technologies to market on their own they are either shutdown (and/or discredited by the government or academia) or are killed—particularly if they aren’t willing to get onboard with the true powers-that-be so that the current energy cartel can maintain their stranglehold over the planet.

We have had the technology to solve the energy problem for decades, but as long as the sheeple continue to believe the party line espoused by the government and their academic puppets we will continue to pollute ourselves out of existence.

Wake up people! The only chance we have of truly solving the energy and global warming issues is by demanding that these technologies are released.
