As far as the public goes yes. Washington and the media how ever, no. I'm no out yet but when I am I don't anticipate very good benefits. More info here. .

Tens of thousands of veterans have already returned from Iraq and more will be coming soon. Does have the infrastructure in place to make their transition home easy? Are we culturally inclined to treat our veterans with respect and dignity?
