I know that I greatly value my University experience, and I took away a desire to promote a love of learning and commitment to engage authentically with the community on a "philanthropic" level if you will.

I wonder if web based courses are going to instill the same sense of community responsibility?

This is not a criticism of MIT's web-course; I adore that idea. I am just asking a critical question.
