Why don't more funders focus on seniors?

There are very few funders focused on seniors' issues, yet our aging population will place an increasingly expensive burden on our social services agencies. More and more seniors are being forced to choose between paying rent and purchasing food and medication, yet funders largly ignore this population. Why is that?
