FDR was a consummate politician, you could call it either trust or manipulation. Considering how it all worked out, in hindsight, the wars of the last hundred years have not resulted in any great achievements, other than making the US the successor to the British Empire, whatever that’s worth. I daresay G. Washington would say, “Not much” . Amen to that. disigny
