Hi Parag -

I found your article in the New York Times' magazine to profoundly important. I also thought it particularly interesting that your article appeared in the magazine of such an advocate of the American Empire.

I have followed the analysis of others, such as Chalmers Johnson, who use a similar paradigm to assess the current politics and future evolution of the United States. When sharing this perspective, it has been quite frustrating, even distressing, to find that most people, including those who consider themselves on the liberal left, do not want to think deeply about what you are suggsting.

I am wondering how your ideas have been received. Do people want want to examine the substance and implications of what you are writing about?
