As a consumer, I love the idea of having a hand in the design of something I will use. As a designer, I am curious to see how my ideas will be adapted by others.

I have seen / heard and used this model with audio / music for years — first sampling and then interactive modules on the web for remixing by the listeners, also release of individual tracks that make up a piece expecting for mixing using consumer-audio software.

To take this aural art mix concept and move it to visual arts is very exciting to me.

One question though, how can be make sure that it isn't just the "haves" that get to experience this?
