Did it have to be created within the last century as well? Although discovered before this past millennium, gunpowder has had, in my opinion the biggest effect on our entire millennium. No other invention affected warfare as much and as we all know, allot of our civilian tech comes from military innovation. I used to have a huge paper I wrote on the matter but I lost it but please let me know what you think. Read More
