Great response, I like this idea very much and I wish to hear more. On the theme of ocean going vessels, my choice, gunpowder; affected greatly naval technology and how it was developed.

I agree with the notion that America as an "empire" is coming to an end. In this next new century I believe that we will be seeing Asia take the forefront in things.
