Wednesday’s Big Idea

Today's Big Idea: Collective Intelligence

The Nantucket Project is an event experience that brings together a select group of eminent and accomplished visionaries, thinkers, innovators and performers to one of the most storied places in the United States.

The theme of this year's event is Collective Intelligence, or how we can leverage technology to aggregate and amplify human intelligence.

In advance of the event we are introducing readers to important issues surrounding this theme, such as:

  • How can Collective Intelligence be used in ways that both reinvigorate old institutions or empower their reinvention?
  • While Collective Intelligence may be used as powerful tool to increase human happiness and prosperity, what are its risks?
  • How does it promote groupthink, echo chambers, market bubbles and black swan events?

To purchase tickets for this year's event, to be held on Nantucket from October 5th to October 8th, visit The Nantucket Project
