The Legacy of September 11

Service is expressed in numerous ways. Eric Greitens made the decision to join the Navy SEALs, where he learned the value of devoting himself to a greater cause.

While SEALs represent an extraordinary commitment to service, Greitens says that the true legacy of the events of September 11, 2001 and what followed was that Americans came together. As the nation still heals, Greitens argues that all Americans can learn from the Navy SEALs and commit themselves to a higher purpose.
