The Grammies, The first FLOP of the year.
About 20 Minutes into the Grammies I was ready to change the channel. I decided to continue to watch in the hopes of it getting better. At the end I was left with several unanswered questions.....1. What went wrong with Government Assistance programs?
After a bad fall at work, I was unable to return for over a year and a half. The bills were piling up and I was sinking fast. With Workers Comp. I was receiving not even a third of my regular pay, but was expected to live off of that. I had been turned down for partial disablility, even tho my doctor filled out all the needed paperwork. Am I the only one who remembers the old adage, "Sticks and Stones may break my bones, but words will never hurt me."?Why are we so politically correct? My Brother looks forward to hunting season, as so does millions of other hunters. He gets up at 3 in the morning, packs uphis guns, his attractants, the feeders, the tree stand, dons his camoflauge, and heads out into the woods to wait and stalk an animal that is simply trying to survive. With all the billions of dollars that have been pumped into the "save Africa" efforts in the last twenty years, why hasn't someone gone in and either dug a river through Africa to these poverished communities or just moved them to a more suitable environment?
